Does anybody know where to get cheap tickets?
Ive tried a few different places Flightnetwork, Orbitz and more, planning on flying from Calgary to London Ontario, round trip, just wondering if anybody knows a special website or travel agency? Oh and a cheap car rental company in ontario?

Answer: One site may be slightly lower than another but the supply and demand economic rule applies to all financial transactions…..make your purchase on reliability and common sense……what will work for you…….and……..your travel requirements…..always use trusted and ethical travel sites…….yahoo travel…….orbitz……travelocity……expidea or club type membership….AAA or AARP. Take a moment to make sure a cheap ticket is worthwhile and reliable……..I cant recommend any one site…….its up to you to search and decide what is right for you.

Im traveling internationally. What do I need?
Hello, I am traveling from the UK to the US in 1 week. I already booked my plane ticket at www.orbitz.com. I have filled out an ESTA application online. I have a passport. What else do I need to get in the US for leisurely travel? What things should I print out? The ESTA? Ticket? What else? Im really confused. I dont know what documents I need for this trip. I am nervous things will go wrong. I just dont have wiggle room for errors or complications. Thanks for any input. Have a great day

Answer: Print out your travel documents and print out your travel insurance if you have it and keep it in your carry-on bag. I also print out the travel documents and put one copy in each checked bag, and also other IDs, one on the outer pocket of the bag, and another hand-written one inside the luggage. That way if your bags are delayed due to the flimsy tag the airlines put on the handles being torn off, they can still find you and get you the bag. I dont know what ESTA is, but probably be a good idea to print it off if it is necessary. Copy your passport in black and white illegal to do so in color and keep that with you in case something happens to the passport, will make things a bit easier when you report it missing.

When you make travel arrangements through sites like expedia and orbitz?
is there a way you can tell how much you paid for just the hotel or just the flight?

Answer: No. You would have to start over and choose to book just the hotel or just the flight and see how much they are. But because they give you deals on booking both, itll still add up to more than if you bought the package. If they let people see that, then people would want that price for just the hotel or car or flight alone so they dont show you.

So I can go to war if I wanted, but I cant book a hotel on the beach? What? Help?
This is so frustrating...so I am trying to book a hotel at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at the end of July for 3 nights. I have been using travelocity, expedia, orbitz, etc... I am searching for a hotel that is oceanfront and have amenities that include a pool and a lazy river. My biggest issue is that most of these nicer hotels that do have oceanfront property require you to be 21 or 25 to check in. This is extremely unfortunate because my boyfriend and I are both 20 years old. I would just have someone book it thats older but they require identification when you check-in to prove that you are of age. I have found VERY few hotels that allow you to be at least 18 to check in and these hotels really are not what we want. While searching on these travel sites, there are lots of hotels that do not tell you their minimum age requirement for some reason. I know the obvious idea is to call and ask but before I go calling a BUNCH of hotels, I just wanted to ask this question. Are there any BEACH hotels or hotel chains that you know of that have a minimum check in age of 18? I know that most hotel chains have an 18 age check in but for some reason it is different on the beach. So any nice oceanfront hotels that you may know of? Thank you

Answer: Even in large hotel chains, since the hotels themselves are independently owned hotels are allowed to set their own rules. Also in CT and MA, you cant legally rent a hotel room until youre 21. And in some states, if the hotel serves alcohol by room service, the minimum age is 21 as well. And most casino hotels will require 21 as well. Its been my experience that most hotels in Myrtle Beach require you to be 25 and a couple are 30. Same goes for the Outer Banks. Unfortunately, youre going to have to lower your standards or pick another destination.

What will be the future of the travel and tourism industry?
My mother and I have always booked our own trips through online discount sites like Expedia, etc. When we do go to travel agents inquiring about trips, they usually dont get back to us with any information If it makes a difference, we usually inquire about going to places like Asia, Europe, etc. My question is this-- With so many people using online sites, like Travelocity, Orbitz, etc., what is the future for the individual travel agent? How do they/will they make their money and attract their clients? Will they only work for wealthy folks who will pay for the convenience of having an agent to do the legwork? What will be the future for people wanting to enter this line of work? Thank you for any answers. :

Answer: Wealthy people are not the only ones who need travel agents. Unlucky people need them too. When I traveled to Thailand I found a great deal online, Chicago to New York, then New York onto the rest of my trip, the trouble was I would be entering New York on one airport and leaving on another. I had mistakenly thought there was enough time to travel from one to another but not. I had not booked online, I had written down all the flight info and called a travel agent to see if they could get a similar deal. With my legwork they were able to do a little more legwork and find a different connecting flight. But, If I had not called them, I would have bought the ticket. Well actually, If I was able to find a cab right away, traffic was not bad, and if I knew my way around both airports well, there would have been enough time. New York city, not having bad traffic what are the odds of that, and I have never been in either airport before. So now I frequently go online, find as much information as I can, writing it all down, then call a trusty agent to buy my ticket. I do not know why, but the agent told me they can not go to travelocity or other such sites to find tickets I am not lucky, and I know it, so I use all the resources available to me when ever I can. Yes, I know this was not very nice for travelocity, but if I have problems with a flight during the trip they are no help either. After you book your flight, call the next day to be sure the aisle seat you were sure to book, is what you have, or you could be spending 17 hours of fly time with a cramped up window seat. When your 63" thats a problem

JAPAN?
ok, so i have about $200 dollers right now and i kno i need like $2,500 if i want to go to japan which i do anyway, i was asking how i could earn some money, and/or if anyone has any cheap cheap travel prices like orbitz or something. im looking to goo next january

Answer: Lets see.. you have to make about $2300 dollars to go on the trip. Sounds reasonable for a 1 week stay. Let me give you some advice. Figure out how long it took you to save that first $200. Then do some algebra and figure out how long it will take you to save enough up for the trip. When you get near to the end of this period of time, which I am guessing will be a large amount of time, get back to us here. Lots of things change when you are saving up your allowance for a trip to Japan. Also, I will go the extra mile and help you out on this. Exactly how do you plan on saving, wait a second, about $400 a month between now and then? Do you really think that this is realistic? Its just simple math combined with reality. This message has been brought to you from MOSQUE. Is there a need for unrealistic question Ministry in addition to those that are simply silly?

What is the cheapest travel agency?
Orbitz, Travelocity or Expedia? or if there is any other agency that gives great deals. Im planning on traveling to Africa around the 15th. But on the Airplane companys website the cheapest ticket is 5000 around these dates. Someone told me to try travel agencies websites, they always give great deals. Any suggestions?

Answer: Yes, go to a travel agency.. they can source out deals, or suggestions for you. Online travel websites are good only if you really know what you are doing, alternate routings and specific airlines that fly that route. Where in Africa? Different cities have different availability. Youre also planning kinda late for travel in July.

Do Yahoo Mail Ads Read My Web History?
Ive noticed this for some time now, after i am browsing around on amazon.com or some other website for something that i need or even orbitz.com for travel, strangely the ads in the free yahoo mail suddenly are targeted to the exact same products or locations i was searching for? Isnt that a violation of privacy? Did i agree to this when i signed up? Is there any way to turn it off so it cannot read my web browsing history?

Answer: Yes they do. You agreed to it when you accepted the terms of use. Set your browser to clear cookies on exit or empty them yourself daily or hourly depending on how paranoid you are. Also if you use Fire fox, there are some good Add-ons that will block the adds all together.

Cheap vacation packages to Florida?
I plan to go to Florida with my family from July 3-9 or 5-12 depending on if its more expensive traveling during the July 4th weekend. Weve never been there so we dont know weather to rent a car in my current location, Saint Louis, MO and just drive there or to get a vacation package with the flight-hotel-car. I need help finding something very inexpensive up to 500 per person, Ive tried Expedia and Orbitz but Im not familiar with what to do so I need help from someone more experienced. Also the location in Florida doesnt matter but I prefer Miami or Tampa. There will be 3 adults traveling and one 16 year old child. Also, I want the hotel/motel to be right by the beach, thanks.

Answer: I work in a hotel and we have specials going on especially after July 4th. You can find a large studio apartment with full kitchen and balcony for $150/night and we are located directly on the beach of Sunny Isles. Please check out our website www.goldenstrandresort.com and call the reservations department. Mention that you were referred by me. We are in a nice location that is crime free right on the beach and close to everything. You are not required to rent a car. And for your plane, check if you can fly with spirit airlines, jet blue, or trans Am. Hope this helps.
