What will be Obamas reaction to 105 hardworkers arrested in Dallas Fort Worth area?
Assisted by local law enforcement agencies, the U.S. Immigration and Customs National Gang Unit arrested 105 men and women during a five-day operation targeting foreign-born gang members and their associates throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, according to a report obtained by the Organized Crime Control Committee of the National Association of Chiefs of Police This was the latest local effort in an ongoing national ICE initiative to target foreign-born gang members and gang associates. This multi-agency operation, which ended July 17, targeted gang members and associates engaged in organized criminal activity. Sixty seven of those arrested during this operation are documented gang members; five are gang associates from local street gangs. Five additional suspects were apprehended on other criminal and federal immigration charges. Investigation is continuing to determine the gang affiliation of the others and their rank in the gang structure. Seventy-two were arrested on criminal warrants or charges; 33 were administratively arrested by ICE on immigration violations. Following is the breakdown by city where the arrests took place: Dallas - 57, Fort Worth - 19, Arlington - 17, Carrollton - 5, Irving - 4, Farmers Branch - 2, and Lake Worth, 1. Of those arrested, 57 are from Mexico, 42 are U.S. citizens, four are from El Salvador, and two are from Honduras. They range in age from 17 to 53 years old; six of those arrested were women. In addition to the arrests, the following items were also seized: two firearms, U.S. currency, marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, and hydrocodone. Those in ICE custody are charged with administrative immigration violations and are awaiting deportation. Three of those arrested had been previously deported. Anyone who re-enters the United States after having been formally deported commits a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Some of these gang members are sought or have been arrested for various crimes, including: home invasion robberies, drive-by shootings, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession/manufacture of controlled substance, unlawfully carrying a weapon, burglary, theft, evading arrest, and resisting arrest. Those arrested during this five-day multi-agency operation represent the following 29 gangs: 15th Street, 18th Street, 6417 Melody Lane, Allen St. Crips, Brown Pride, Best for Less Club, Deuce Deuce Beckley, Eastside Homeboyz, Fantasmas, How High Crew, Jokers Only, La Mirada Locos, Lands of Shadow, Latin Kings, Los Pipis 25 in Mexico, Lynch Mob, Mexican Klan Locos, Mexican Society, Money Over Bitches, MS-13, Surenos, Sur-13, Swirving Heights, Tango Blast, Untamed Gorillas, Varrio Centro, Varrio Northside, Varrio Southside, and Webb Chapel Crips. Information received by ICE-HSI and other law enforcement indicates that criminal gangs are becoming increasingly involved in north Texas with smuggling and distributing narcotics, laundering illicit drug proceeds, and other illegal activities. Since Operation Community Shield began in February 2005, ICE agents nationwide have arrested more than 17,500 gang members and associates linked to more than 900 different street gangs. More than 200 of those arrested were gang leaders. http://www.examiner.com/x-37621-Public-Safety-Examiner~y2010m7d19-105-gang-members-arrested-in-DallasFort-Worth-area

How do I promote my cause?
I am building my resume for college and for many years now I have been dedicated to helping the fight against Multiple Sclerosis. So I volunteered to be a promoter for the National MS Societys various fund raising events. I have posters, pamphlets, and trading cards by the hundreds. My question- where do I start? Can I just go to Dicks Sporting Goods and introduce myself to the manager and ask if I could place them in the checkout lines? Other places I could go??

Answer: I would seriously consider the power of publicity. Work with local papers and such and, if you can, do a small event. For example, a bbq or garage sale. Work with small businesses in the area. For my event I worked with Tim Hortons in my area. Contact the papers and radio stations, and any local tv. Youll be surprised as to how much they need stories like that. Believe me, I worked for so many of them. As for shop owners, find someone who has been around a while, who usually participates with charities, and might have the resources to help. See if they are doing any promotional events and work with them. It will increase their popularity and gain positive exposure for their store. Retailers want a win-win situation even if you are a charity some come up with some clever ideas to work with them. Hope that helps a bit.

How to create a new line in MS Excel without warping the cell?
For my National Honor Society application, my school has applicants fill out five Excel sheets, four of which have set constraints on cell so that theyll print out correctly. However, some of the information I am entering, such as activities and description of activities, are too long for the size of the cell, even when I made the font smaller. I dont mind stretching out a cell down to make it longer, but I dont want to stretch it to the right to make it wider. Is there any way to create a new line of text or to make the text wrap around to a new line within a cell? For example: ______________________ The quick brown fox jumps | over the lazy dog.................| ------------------------------------- Two lines in a cell, which is what I want As opposed to: _______________________ The quick brown fox jumps o| ver the lazy dog --------------------------------------- Which doesnt fit the constraints. Oh yeah, Im on a Mac. Though Windows is helpful too, since Ill be printing it out on a Windows later. :

Answer: You can also right-click on the cell, choose format cells, click the alignment tab, and under text control choose the wrap text option button.

Why is Pres Obama so afraid of asking real experts any questions about deep water drilling? Funny thing?
Liberals inspire me every minute. Check this question: Why are Republicans so afraid of my questions about deep water drilling? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid20100625103434AAe3hsN Now lets check the facts, who is afraid of what : All right, lib, lets listen to oil drilling experts... not "Under my Administration, the days of science taking a back seat to ideology are over. . . To undermine scientific integrity is to undermine our democracy. . . I want to be sure that facts are driving scientific decisions, and not the other way around." —President Obama, April 27, 2009 The President has appointed a seven-person commission to take what he says will be an objective look at what caused the Gulf spill and the steps to make offshore drilling safe. But judging from the pedigree of his commissioners, were beginning to wonder if his real goal is to turn drilling into a partisan election issue. Mr. Obama filled out his commission last week, and the news is that theres neither an oil nor drilling expert in the bunch. Instead, hes loaded up on politicians and environmental activists. One co-chair is former Democratic Senator Bob Graham, who fought drilling off Florida throughout his career. The other is William Reilly, who ran the Environmental Protection Agency under President George H.W. Bush but is best known as a former president and former chairman of the World Wildlife Fund, one of the big environmental lobbies. The others: • Donald Boesch, a University of Maryland "biological oceanographer," who has opposed drilling off the Virginia coast and who argued that "the impacts of the oil and gas extraction industry . . . on Gulf Coast wetlands represent an environmental catastrophe of massive and underappreciated proportions." • Terry Garcia, an executive vice president at the National Geographic Society, who directed coastal programs in the Clinton Administration, in particular "recovery of endangered species, habitat conservation planning," and "Clean Water Act implementation," according to the White House press release. • Fran Ulmer, Chancellor of the University of Alaska Anchorage, who is a member of the Aspen Institutes Commission on Arctic Climate Change. Shes also on the board of the Union of Concerned Scientists, which opposes nuclear power and more offshore drilling and wants government policies "that reduce vehicle miles traveled" i.e., driving in cars. • Frances Beinecke, president of the Natural Resources Defense Council, who prior to her appointment blogged about the spill this way: "We can blame BP for the disaster and we should. We can blame lack of adequate government oversight for the disaster and we should. But in the end, we also must place blame where it originated: Americas addiction to oil." On at least five occasions since the accident, Ms. Beinecke has called for bans on offshore and Arctic drilling. • Rounding out the panel is its lone member with an engineering background, Harvards Cherry A. Murray, though her specialties are physics and optics. Whatever their other expertise, none of these worthies knows much if anything about petroleum engineering. Where is the expert on modern drilling techniques, or rig safety, or even blowout preventers? The choice of men and women who are long opposed to more drilling suggests not a fair technical inquiry but an antidrilling political agenda. With the elections approaching and Democrats down in the polls, the White House is looking to change the subject from health care, the lack of jobs and runaway deficits. Could the plan be to try to wrap drilling around the necks of Republicans, arguing that it was years of GOP coziness with Big Oil that led to the spill? White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel took this theme for a test drive on Sunday when he said that Republicans think "the aggrieved party here is BP, not the fisherman." He added that this ought to remind Americans "what Republican governance is like." The antidrilling commission could feed into this campaign narrative with a mid-September, pre-election report that blames the disaster on the industry and Bush-era regulators and recommends a ban on most offshore exploration. The media would duly salute, while Democrats could then take the handoff and force antidrilling votes on Capitol Hill. Even as this commission moves forward, engineering experts across the country have agreed that there is no scientific reason for a blanket drilling ban. The Interior Department invited experts to consult on drilling practices, but as we wrote last week eight of them have since said their advice was distorted to justify the Administrations six-month drilling moratorium. Judging from that decision and now from Mr. Obamas drilling commission, the days of "science taking a back seat to ideology" are ver

"Probable" Multiple Sclerosis MS Diagnosis?
The doctors have diagnosed my wife with probable MS. They want to start her on beta-furon sp? after a week of being on prednisone. Shes had a spinal tap NOT good for my hands as she used me to hold on/squeeze for support, I tell ya, & we have a copy of the results. Of course, we cant figure out what the devil were looking at. Heres what we have: A little over a year ago, my wife had an abnormal MRI while doing some brain functional MRI trials for $$$ ath one of the local universities. Her Drs verified what the neurologist at the University said: The pattern seen in the MRI is the same pattern seen with MS. When they added the contrast & took the MRI, none of the lesions lit up meaning none were active. Fast forward to now. 4 MRIs later, & no active lesions. Since the original MRI, a couple other very small lesions have shown up in her spine & brain, but none of them show up as active. She has noticed some bluriness in her left eye when she runs since last Mar/Apr 2009 that goes away within 10mins after she runs. She had a seizure about 8 months ago, & that seizure had the Drs thinking it WASNT MS, because seizures are usually very rarely seen/symptoms of MS. There is also slight tingling in both hands/arms that is noticed about once a week or less, so the combo of those 2 things had the Drs put her on anti seizure meds. Bloodwork has come up negative for everything under the sun: Lymes Disease Lead HIV Viruses other tests for diseases that can mimic MS Ill be at her Neurology appt nxt week for the diagnosis/prognosis. the Drs think shell be in the 30% category of patients who will maintain the level of function they currently have & not progressively get worse. So, is this "probable" MS legit? Ive read a few places that since she is showing some very small outward signs/symptom coupled with the abnormal MRIs, that this is the actual diagnosis, NOT just the Drs saying "Its probably MS". But, I cant find anything on real sites i.e.,National MS Society, Medical websites, etc. Does anyone REALLY know what the heck this is? Im seeing my strong, intelligent wife trying to keep positive, but each day she is becoming more & more broken. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. Forgot to add: She did get an evoke potential for the problem with her left eye & also saw the optometrist. EVP showed a problem with the right eye, not the left. The ophthalmologist said it sounded like optic neuritis, more specifically Uhthoff phenomenon & took a picture of the optic nerve of both eyes for comparison later. No abnormalities were observed, although he said that the patient will notice something wrong before the examination will show anything. In addition, she was in the Army for 12yrs as a vet tech, & then worked at the local animal shelter for a large municipality for 2yrs. Plus, her Mom has progressive MS & it deteriorated enough that she could no longer function & eventually died from MS complication.

Answer: Yes, it is a legitimate diagnosis. You are looking at the fact that chances are good that your wife has MS. If you want it in terms of medical jargon: Clinically probable MS involves- 1. relapsing/remitting symptoms with one neurological sign commonly associated with MS, OR 2. documented single episode with partial or complete recovery, with signs on examination of multifocal white matter disease and 3 no other explanation. The doctors you are dealing with sound very professional and trustworthy. They are also being exceptionally thorough and following the McDonald criteria, which is the protocol all dedicated physicians use in the determination of MS. I got the diagnosis of probable multiple sclerosis at the Cleveland Clinic, and it turned out that I have the disease. If it were less likely that your wife had MS, they would have given her a diagnosis of possible MS. You can take your neurologists words at face value: According to the diagnosis your wife probably has MS. Many, many people get MRI results in the beginning indicating that they have no active lesions or no lesions at all, which simply means that their attack was brief or so slight that the lesions were too small to be able to be seen on the MRI Believe me, you can trust every word that comes out of your doctors mouth. He is obviouly being exceptionally meticulous. Of course, your wife is depressed.

Why was I not accepted into National Junior Honor Society?
I was invited, and I was very pumped up to be into NJHS. I wanted to volunteer and do service for the community. Then in 2nd period, I get a letter I was happy that they sent me a letter, but I got to the sentence "Although you were not selected..." destroyed me. I had to fake being happy the entire day. And when I got home, I cried. And a mean girl asked me if I got in, and I pretended like i didnt know. She looked at my letter and said mean-ishly "Oh. No. You didnt get in." then she turns and says to Mr.Wing "Mr.Wing, look what I got". And to make matters worse, a girl who used to be my friend, but now only talks to me if her other friends are not there, got in I cried again. I had everything in order and I was like, perfect for NJHS. And my good friends Tori, Hunter and Michael didnt get in either. And if you say I wasnt smart enough, you only get invited if your perfect for the job. Now Im depressed. So thanks to Ms. Hardin, Im depressed. Will that be my only chance to do NJHS 7th and 8th grade? I want to get in 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade too. Thanks. They get a big induction ceromony and they light candles I AM PERFECT FOR THIS And two girls I hate and dont deserve it because they are mean and are spoiled brats Im nice and all my teachers were suprised that I didnt get in. Plus a girl who less fun than a pole got in, and she texts during school I keep my phone off in my backpack, like were supposed to Why me, I have never won anything. not even the Geography Bee

Answer: Honestly its not that big of a deal. If your grades and extra curriculars are good, it doesnt make much of an effective on college admissions. It is a board of teachers, school board members, etc. that do the selections. Perhaps, someone doesnt like you or your family and decided you werent good enough. It happens in small schools a lot. You will probably get in high school though. I am pretty sure you dont have to have been in NJHS to do NHS.

Barbados Gangs. Watch urself?
I dunno how many of you got this email but i found it very interesting and decided to share. PTA MEETING – MARCH 24th 2010 Allan Goodridge – PC 720 – Royal Barbados Police Force  Most gangs are well organised and operate by a particular code  The “wannabees” are the most dangerous as they are trying to prove themselves worthy of joining gang. These are the ones who would shoot or kill someone at random to prove how violent they are.  Most of the problems with gang members originate in the home i.e. lack of parental controls, rejection, lack of cooperation. Main Gangs Operating In Barbados Other Minor Ones Gang Origin Gang Colour Bloods Los Angeles Red Crips Los Angeles Blue Black Mobs Chicago OutLawz New York Panty Pudding Girls Local 313 Harlem Empire Harlem MS 13 South America Jamaican Posse New York, Miami , Jamaica  Some gangs practising voodoo/ demon possession  School girls becoming possessed Minor gang known as “Gothics”  Teacher at Springer School reprimanding 13 year old girl whose voice was normally quite low keyed and suddenly girls eyes staring and speaking in a deep male voice  Girls from My Lords Hill Minor gang known as “Celebrities” believe that they will become vampires. Wear all black, shave eye brows off and repaint them in black, draw fang marks on their faces  Some gangs use soft shoes as symbol e.g. BK shoes, normally known as British Knights but now used as “Blood Killers”  Roderick OBrien Mayers aka OB, Leader of Bloods, deported from USA, deemed a menace to society in USA, sleeps with 4 body guards at the 4 corners of his house  Gang members wear scares, hats, beads as evidence of gang membership. Beads are worn and the longer the beads the higher the rank. Initiation  Burn 3 marks in the form of a triangle on back of right or left shoulder – this is known as the Dog Paw  Males are “beat-in”- surrounded by a group of gang members and each person delivers a vicious beating  Girls are “sex –in “– unprotected sex with at least 5/6 gang members. Some school girls reported missing on a Friday and then showing up on a Monday /Tuesday would have been initiated by “sex-in” during the weekend.  Potential new members required to kill someone at random, kill a rival gang member Bloods and Crips hate each other, commit a crime. Going to jail for such acts ensures certain bragging rights , respect in and out of Dodds and rise in influence in gang.  Each gang has a type of alphabet code which is disclosed to members. Some codes that children use while on the Internet o POS – Parent over shoulder o PORS- Parent over right shoulder  Drug /Gang Lords paying light bills, buying school shoes etc to ensure loyalty in a particular district. Panty Pudding Girls  All Girls Gang  Lesbianism call each other “cuz”  No underwear  Involved in Skin Out competitions – Club Extreme on Tuesday nights/other locations  Unprotected sex  Used by other gangs as bait to draw out rival gang members for execution e.g. guy killed by Central Bank recently was meeting a Panty Pudding Girl for sex but this was setup.  Guyanese girl used to draw “Tone” out of his house, he was executed using the 5 shot execution both hands, both feet and head and then his hands were cut off  Movada/ Vybz Kartel both came out of the 313 Harlem Empire Gang  Jay Z is connected with the said 313 Harlem Empire Gang. MS 13  MS 13 has been described by national Geographic as “worlds most dangerous gang”  Hang out in River Bus Stand and Fairchild Street Bus stands  Mostly Guyanese Recruits  Very vicious, extreme methods of exacting revenge. Hands, head cut off, abduction, torture, execution, house burnt down etc.  Gangs in almost every secondary school  Harrison College gang meets in Queens Park, including some former students.  Graffiti on walls tell stories about crimes e.g. Nickname of gang member X, picture of a gun with bullets coming out of the nozzle and name of other person Y means that gang member X shot Y  Some locations with Graffiti are initiation spots  Gangs have certain hand signals and postures which are recognisable only to gang members BP - Hmm gang banging.......i seeeeeeee :p

Answer: I also received it and it was also in the papers. The leader of one with red beads and scarft was even saying that many young fellows come to him asking if they can do any tasks and he had to tell them no. Barbadian are very copy-cat so what ever happens in the US they are going to emulate. that is where that wowlie or whatever it is come from pants down behind their tails EDIT: That man getting threatened now for that article. he has received death threats. http://www.barbadostoday.bb/launch.aspx?referralother&refreshb19G7T0qm3Z1&PBID87ad6005-1972-4d63-92b0-8927eda53c7a&skip

Answer: BYU - YES, absolutely yes. I have no doubt in my mind you will get in to BYU. But you can do so much better than BYU Not that its a bad school, but you can do better. Pepperdine - Theres a good chance that you will get in. Especially because of your GPA and your extracurricular activities. Stanford - Maybe. You might as well apply, just in case. I wouldnt be surprised if you got into Stanford because of all your volunteering, your ACT & SAT scores, and because it looks like you will be valedictorian. Plus, it looks like you are being educated in the Clark County school district, which is known for its phenomenal high schools Green Valley, Coronado, etc. So if you do go to a Clark County school, that might count for something on your applications, too. Good luck You seem like an excellent student

do you know what hindutva means?
ms gowalkar..father of hindutva..in his bunch of thoughts..denounces territorial nationalism.."everyone born in india is not an indian He must embrace “Hindu culture”. That is a cultural nationalism," that is, “revert to the truth of our nationalism as an ancient fact and the Hindus being the national society of Bharat”. He lauded V.D. Savarkars essay Hindutva, condemned secularists and cited three “Internal Threats” – the Muslims, the Christians and the Communists Chapter XII. in short if you want to be indian..you have to accept hinduism..not tolerate ..accept hinduism..become a hindu..convert..this is the golden goal of the rss.. now i know people will say that hindutva is really bharateeyatva..explain this- First, let alone Indian, even the term “Bharatiya” is rejected because of its “geographical connotation”. The cultural dimensions – that is, “cultural nationalism”, only the word “Hindu” can denote. Secondly, while asserting that Hindutva “encompasses” all communities, Bhagwat, like Deoras and other RSS leaders before him, defines the word Hindu in one and the same speech to mean the majority community – “the Hindu population was reduced to minority or converted to other faiths.” It is on such deception that commitments to Hindutva rest. Bhagwat uttered a brazen falsehood when he said “our doors are open to all”. The RSS rejected appeals by Jayaprakash Narayan in 1977 and A.B. Vajpayee in 1979 to do precisely that. majbbot neta lk advani is very secular when he says-“henceforth only those who fight for Hindu interests would rule India”. Secularism was an inconvenience. He complained on October 2, 1990, that “secular policy is putting unreasonable restrictions on Hindu aspirations”. That is the Advani which some people wish he was not. But he very much is just that. Which is why, on the 50th anniversary of Indias Independence, he wrote for the party journal, not on a vision for India, but “A Four-Point Appeal to Muslims of India” BJP Today, June 16, 1997. He is obsessed with Muslims. He demands that they should accept Hindu gods such as Ram and Krishna as “sources of our national culture” but is pained when they do not. That utterly illiberal document very much represents his “core beliefs”. and you call me pseudo secular?? i know that soft-hindutva people in bjp will say it isnt so..but this is the ugly truth..rss and by extention the bjp is an exclusively communal party...for hindus..and its aim is a hindu rashtra..not a secular state but a hindu rashtra..i.e if you are a muslim or a christian and if you want to live in your land india..you will have to accept hinduism you will have to convert to a hindu...and these people complain about conversions?? this is what hindutva means from the horses mouth...can you ..as an indian..even pretend to like it?? pakistan was created for muslims..its a comunal state..but not india..india is a secular state..check history..check the constitution this question isnt about whether the congress is secular or not..its about how secular the rss is..rss calls congress pseudosecular...with such ideals what moral right does it have to do so??..and clearly..even the most voiceferous of rss supporters cant seem to defend it..so ill close this question now..and hope you guys actually see the evil you endorse

Answer: Ap - you need to understand the reason behind that. See for thousands of years dalits and other lower caste were ill treated and were ruled by the higher caste. After Independence when Congress came into the power the situation was different the upper caste people were not given much Power to continue their job. And also country divided into 2. These made these people hectic. they thought later they may come in power and will change the things, But Congress gave Lower Caste people their Rights and reservation policy. which made Congress more strong and they are stick to the seat from the time of Independence. which is not digested by these people so they Introduced HINDUTVA Which is not for Country But for self.
