Do you know the muffin man?
The actual myth behind the muffin man, not just the rhyme. Im trying to remember, it was a story I heard years ago that the rhyme was based on some guy that owned a bakery and he used to lure children into his shop, kill them, and eat them raw. Trying to remember the story. HAHA Shrek moment, nice.

Why are christians so close minded about questioning their belief though it is known that the bible was?
adapted from other stories written/told long before christianity existed to ease the adaptation process of converting to a monotheistic religion instead of pantheism? Life and death of Jesus - Horus, son of Osiris and IsisMeri according to the Egyptian Book of the Dead written in approximately 1280BC.Isis was told of her pregnancy by a divine spirit. When Isis gave birth to Horus, she did so in a cavern, surrounded by many animals. The three deities of the Sun were informed of the birth by the star known as Sirius - or the eastern morning star - and arrived to pay their respects to him.The time of his birth was around the winter solstice,or between the 21st and 26th of december. He healed the blind, cast out demons, walked on water, brought the dead back to lifeAsar and finally nailed to a tree with two thieves by his sides and three days after his death two women anounced that he had been resurrected. The great floodNoahs Ark - The oldest record of this story is contained in the Sumerian Eridu Genesis dated from 17th century BC where the god Enki warns Ziusudra of the gods decision to destroy mankind in a flood and instructs him to build a craft that will float in order that he survives to repopulate the earth. This is the oldest record of the great flood story,it has been seen in nearly every religion throughout history. Birth of Moses - Sargon of Akkad. He reigned from 2334 to 2279 BC,creating an empire that united all of Mesopotamia. His mother was a temple priestess.Giving birth to him in secret and setting him in a basket to float, she abandoned him to the Euphrates river.Akki,a gardener, rescued him from the river and raised him. After working as a gardener for Akki,Sargon rose to the position of cup-bearer to Ur-Zababa,the king of Kish and so goes the story. The Sargon legend is in actual manuscripts from the seventh century BC. The idea of heaven and hellseen in nearly all religions before Moses, the genesis storyBabylonian myths, praying, miracles etc etc. How come christians still are and always have been atheists of other religions although they believe in a put together combination of them without any questioning or doubt? Tell them to follow the Asatru religion and they will stone you for blasphemymetaphorically. How do they insist in believing this specific combination is real? All the other gods throughout the centuries have insisted that they are the only deity/deities that exist and must be worshipped so why believe this specific one? I can understand being a theist, believing in a creator for personal reasons, but even so, why follow any religion? @ Matthew, Lucas Arts and Pastors George and Sharon: see? This is what Im talkin about. Not questioning anything. If you had been raised in Norway a couple of hundred years ago you would follow Asatru without questioning while Christianity existed. Why not use the brain you own for thinking on these matters if it is so important for you? @Micah: These are not speculations and you can check any of them whenever you want.Just google the facts that I have given you and save me the trouble of posting links here will you?If you dont rely on google you can go to the nearest library and do some research before being so close minded. @djmantx: according to the Egyptian Book of the Dead written in approximately 1280BC @grnlow: the bible was written in 5000BC while the earliest form of writingvertical, and horizontal lines appeared at 3500BC credited to the Sumerians of ancient Mesopotamia? Now that is truly a work of god oh how I wish Fireball and MOMMAH were here,so much fun they are missingsigh @Exodus 15:2: give me proof of historicalas reliable as it can be and scientific evidence and I shall revaluate my claims.I will not take religious scripts, unproven articles saying because our god exists none of these can be true, this is blasphemy, god said there could be non believers and ones who would try to take you out of your path is a humongous sinner driven by the devil etc etc into consideration. And the counters of these claims of mine must be without a religious, side picking view. @djmnatx: And yet again after all the arguments I led,you only answer ones about specific dates,a cavern and a star.Once again;according to the Egyptian Book of the Dead Osiris was born in a cavern though other variations of the story state it was a swamp,or dont even state it at all.Mind you that the Book of the Dead was written in 1280BC.Osiris coming was anounced by the three stars Mintaka, Anilam, and Alnitak in the belt of Orion, which point directly to star in the east, Sirius. The Orion constellation is connected to Osiris and takes up a great part in the Egyptian mythology. As far as the date of birth,I didnt give you any specific date,it is said that it is around the winter solstice, somewhere between the 21st and 26th.It is known that christmas is celebrated in honor of the birth of jesus on the 25th of december,it is adapted from the myth of Osiris even if it is originally in the bible or not. my apologies,I wrote Osiris in the place of Horus for about ten times or more.Yep I am one dyslexsic atheist with an attention span of a tea spoon plus I think I must sleep.

Answer: Christians are trying to rewrite history, ive talked to many fundies that are now claiming christianity predates all religions, including Paganism and Judaism. What gall right? If there is anything that hacks me off, its a revisionist christian.

Can anybody help me find more information about this urban myth?
They say in Japan when you enter the restroom by yourself and a voice or a man with a red cape and he would say choose between a red cape or blue cape but if you choose red you would be decapitated and blue you would be strangled and choose any other color and white hands will riese and pull you down to hell....Put they say before you choose just runaway does anybody now something about this myth?

Answer: There are apparently several versions of this red cape story. It could be a red paper and a blue paper. As you said, you could be stubbed or choked depending on the color you choose, but I dont know how you should answer the question the monster asks. I think they said you just have to run without answering the question...

Questions about circumcision?
This is about circumcision for men, not women not sure if it really matters anyways What is bad and good about being circumcised? What is good and bad about not being circumcised? If people claim its so good and its healthy why do modern medicine doctors not recommend it? Im not saying they are against it, they just never suggest it. So is it just a myth that its good for you, or what?

Answer: Im amazed that there are still ignorant people who believe the propaganda and old wives tales about the non-existent "benefits" of circumcision. The only good from circumcision goes to the unscrupulous doctors, who make money from mutilating male infants penises. Circumcision, both male and female, is damage to the genitals, which damages sexual feeling, function and ability. Obviously damaging a penis will not make it function better. Anyone who thinks that is seriously deluded. Its not "cleaner" nor does it prevent any disease or infection. The HIV rates were and are much higher in the USA than in Europe, Scandinavia, South America and most of Asia, where circumcision of males is very rarely done. Most victims of male genital mutilation, called circumcision, are unaware of what was done to them, and how their sexual feeling and function have been diminished; sex still feels good to most of them, and they have no concept of how it feels to be intact and undamaged. Circumcision was forced on some males during the Victorian era, more than 100 years ago, to try to prevent boys from masturbating, as it removes much of the pleasure in both masturbation and sex. Circumcision has no standards. The damage inflicted varies wildly, as evidenced by the scars from the wounds to the penis, which can appear anywhere from the glans to the base of the penis. Inexperienced medical students and even nurses are allowed to indiscriminately hack away at infant boys genitals. And genital mutilation should never be forced on anyone without their consent; especially children. Is it so difficult to understand that its wrong to mutilate childrens genitals? Circumcision is a fraud and a hoax. A foreskin is not a birth defect; it is a birthright. ERIC

Static plain HTML would do the job www.inovision.ca would do it for under 500 CAD$ This would go really fast since you have all info... Have the Cubs proven that the law of averages is a myth and that theres no such thing as winning a?
championship by luck? Every championship has to be earned and even though it might not seem that way, the best team always wins. 102 years without a championship for a team that has had so many great players over the years as the Cubs have. The law of averages if it were true would unquestionably have kicked in with the Cubs. You cant just say the Cubs were robbed of a championship by Steve Bartman interfering from the stands catching a foul ball. Bartman never should have been blamed anyway because the umpire could have ruled fan interference and called Luis Castillo out.

Answer: Wanna know what it is? The Cubs just havent been good enough. Plain and simple. I agree with you. The best team wins. And unfortunately the Cubs havent been. I would argue they were the best team in 1969, but the Mets just caught fire like no team ever has But I dont get your point? That the law of averages is a myth? Of course it is. But I think common sense would tell any clear thinking person that. I think you probably just feel good about yourself by bashing a team that has been kicked around by every person that isnt a Cubs fan. Get a life.

Why am I not getting my period after breakthrough bleeding all month?
Last month I decided I wasnt going to have a period and just started a new pack of birth control. Well pretty much all this month Ive had dark brown-black breakthrough bleeding. From July 31 to August 7th I was on very strong antibiotics for a kidney infection. And 2 days before that I was on normal antibiotics for a UTI. Ive heard many different things about antibiotics and their effect on birth control; some doctors I spoke with said it did and others said its all a myth. So we didnt use back up protection. I stopped taking birth control 4 days before the end of the pack because I just wanted to have my period and hoped the brown spotting would stop and next month would be better. Its been 4 days and I havent been spotting at all and still no period. Im probably just overthinking thing but if I did get pregnant last week it wouldnt show up on a pregnancy test anyways, how long do I wait to take one if I still dont get my period?

Answer: Its a result of taking birth control incorrectly. The hormone, Gonadotropin releasing hormone GnRH is really confused and will not induce menstruation. It sounds like the antibiotics may have had an impact, which is why you experienced breakthrough bleeding, but other than that, just wait it out. Once all the medication in your system is gone, youll likely have your period again. If not, seek medical advice.
