Do all supporters of SB1070 break the law to get their point across? =============================== According to Juan Varela's family, SB 1070 isn't just a civil rights travesty: it has also caused the death of at least one Arizona Latino. Varela was shot dead after an argument with a white neighbor, Gary Thomas Kelley, over Arizona's harsh new anti-immigrant law. Despite the fact that Varela was a U.S. citizen — in fact, he was a third generation American — Kelley allegedly yelled before shooting Varela, "You fucking wetback! Go back to Mexico!" Back? When he was born in America? Varela's family blames the extreme anti-immigrant, anti-Latino sentiment caused by fear mongering around the passage of SB 1070 for the death of their loved one. The Phoenix Police Department has finally decided to charge Kelley with a hate crime, after initially refusing to do so, raising the ire of Varela's family and friends. That the crime occurred in Maricopa County, home to Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who spends so much time chasing down undocumented immigrants he doesn't have time to prosecute violent crimes, gives both a sense of the extreme anti-immigrant climate and why law enforcement would be loathe to admit to what appears to be an obvious anti-Latino hate crime. I don't know about you, but I think shooting a person after shouting a xenophobic racial slur has hate crime written all over it, and I'm glad that the Maricopa County Attorney General's Office now agrees. Varela's murder isn't the only one with links to SB 1070. Answer: This is just 2 of many stories. SB1070 is deviding us racially and it's causing a rise in this type of hate crime. What gets me, is that some people think it's OK.

Getting with a Latina? If I am an Indian [India] guy that moves to a city like Phoenix, and I want to get with a Latina, how tough of a time would I have? The city I live in right now is like 80 percent White and 18 percent Black. So I am kind of the only Indian here. Changed me in many ways though, I don't sound Indian (no Indian accent), parents aren't traditional so they don't care what race or ethnicity I date and I am not a Hindu.

5. why is child support based on how much money the parent makes?
this is not what should be happening, what should happen is the age and location of the place the kid lives in should be all that is considered! a 10 year old needs the same thing as any other 10 year old! and so on for each age! the only thing that should matter is what city and state that they live in! a kid in phoenix doesn't need as much money to live as a kid that lives in san Fransisco! and that makes since! as for me i pay 2500.00 dollars for one kid! yes i make a good deal of money but there is no way it takes that much money to raise a kid per month!
Answer: Every state has different rules on what they base child support on. But that's besides the point- you made the kid, you obviously don't have him full time or you wouldn't need to pay any/as much child support as you do. What parent looks at their child and goes.. "eh- your not worth 2500" That money can go towards a college fund, a car for when they can drive, ect ect... Why not just love your kid. Stop complaining you actually have to pay for them- some of us don't receive child support from our dead beat ex partners... You don't see us launching a complaint online about how we don't get any help or breaks-

Answer: What up Steve Nash is..., Are the Suns championship contenders? i think the Answer is No. Although they took a big step up defensively last year- their inability to advance any further than they have in the playoffs (with Amare) had to do with the fact that defense wins championships- and for years they Suns have been an exciting offensive team that can win a lot of regular season games and put themselves in a position to contend in the West- but they are not able to overcome some of the top eschelon teams in the West. They are clearly not the class of the West- and they've also seen some of their role players take a step back (i'm thinking particularly of Barbosa - not the same Barbosa from several years ago). Hedo is a good player and i think that will definitely lead to Grant Hill coming off the bench- but the Suns will miss Amare more than they think and i don't think they have enough to make it past the Lakers, the Mavs, OKC, etc. Nickster
