Im a teen, 17, senior and I want to get into the business that incooperates technology and art. Like video game design, programming, animation stuff like that. What should I be doing now on my own to prepare, or in some cases make me have a better advantages then others? Ive tried Blender and such but Im not sure how to go about teaching myself its methods. What programs, books, anything should I be doing now to prepare?
Answer: You should learn/master flash. Its relatively easy to learn and to work with. Its always impressive if you have a flash website that hosts a portfolio, some fun flash animations and a pretty web layout. If you get a fan base from it, thats even better. You should also do your own art projects to build up a portfolio because having lots of good examples to show potential employers are a lot more impressive than a one page resume. There are many programs that you can look into. The best way to do it is to do some research on programs used on video games/animations that you like, or the newest and hottest programs used in whatever field you want to focus on. There are so many programs that comes out that chances are, whatever you are using will be outdated and replaced by a fancy new version by the time you finish college. You can also just go to the bookstore and skim books in the computer section to get a better ideas of all the programs out there. If you have the money, you should get a tablet. They are amazing, and definitely a worthy investment for someone who wants to go into graphics design. Basically, experiment with different methods and programs is the best way to see what your style is like, what field you would like the most and what works best for you.

Do any other anime fans sometimes get annoyed with... well, "anime fans"?
Now, this is NOT that big of a deal, but it is sort of a small pet peeve of mine- I hate it when people claim they LUVV an anime, and yet they dont understand the point of it. For example, I love the anime Death Note. But a lot of people who watch it seem to not understand the point of the plot. or even know about the plot.. Its like they dont want to look deeper into the storyline. They just go, "Oh, its an anime, so watching this will make me KEWL :D" Ill name a favorite anime of mine, and theyll be like, "OMG I LOVE THAT ANIME insert characters name- kun is SO sexy" "Yeah... but he did kill and torture his family, and multiple other people, not to mention hi-" "BUT HES SEXY ...wait, he did :O" And.. ....it seems as though good anime beautiful animation, good characters, and a solid storyline is wasted on people who just watch it for the sake of watching it. To appear "cool" or something. .....does this make sense? -_- By the way, its not like I really care about this. Or are obsessed with this...o_o Because I honestly dont care what people do. XD Its just something that came to my mind. Oh God, the Kawaii-Desou thing kills me. X.e They rape two languages. It hurts my brain. DX
Answer: yeah, the whole "Im an anime fan I use random stupid japanese phrases1" thing gets old. .;; Also, it doesnt bother-bother me, but I see a lot of "O Hai I only watched 1 anime insert popular anime so I know all about anime now Im an otaku11" Which is fine, we all started out with an anime, but they dont even bother to watch anything else and base their whole opinion on the whole spectrum of anime off of that one anime. :S Which also leads in my other pet peeve, of answering any question whether super specific or general with the popular anime - ie: Bleach, Naruto, Deathnote the current Holy Trinity of C&A. Yeah, those are good anime, but please include others. Im sure everyone and their brother has heard of these anime by now. The whole point of answering is to answer with something that maybe the asker hasnt heard of before and learn of new anime. And my last pet peeve, is new fans not knowing the difference between manga and anime. Even when its explained, they still use them interchangeably. D:

How to create my animation?
Im making a animation with my friend, I have the modelling clay and I know what character Im using so the only problem is: I dont want to have done it all and then figured out that I cant accually put it all together which would be very sad. So firstly, would I use a camera and take seperate photos if so then how would I get it to play it all the way through on windows movie maker? Ok, or would I use the i can animate program that we have installed, then how would I get that file onto windows movie maker so that this is for both options I can add sound. Sorry that was so long but it was the only way i could explain it lol thanks so much for your help xxxx
Answer: Depending on the size of your character you might want to make a wire skeleton for him. But yep, put your camera on a TRIPOD .. thats important : then everytime you move your character take a pic. You might want to experiment as the animation might turn out a lot faster than you planned. There will be 4-10 frames a second, so think about how much you want to move your character each time. It can be painstaking and take a long time, but the results will be worth it. You can import your photos to WMM and change the photo duration, as someone above said. I used to do this and made it 0.2 or 0.1, if you can change these lengths for all the photos at the same time. You can also add the music in there. Export as avi and you can upload to YouTube : if you do, I want to see it Good luck

Poll: What do you think was a better decade for cartoons? 80s or 90s?
Some people will say 80s some will say 90s. I grew up on 80s and early 90s cartoons- I think the stuff from the late 80s was good and stuff from the early 90s. People will say he 80s had crappy stuff but so did the 90s. There were a few quality cartoon shows in the 80s. What about you? Before people, especialy you 90s kids, start getting crazy and saying, "Oh 90s cartoons were good," or "Im biased," or "Im not old enough to remember 80s cartoons." - They had 80s cartoons in RERUNS on TV in the 90s. I want to see if some OLDER people respond.Does anyone else here remember 80s cartoons? Some of the 80s stuff was precursors for the 90s stuff. Roger Rabbit IMO was the pinnacle of 80s animation. DBleu, Inspector Gadget, Chipmunks, and Muppet Babies are all 80s shows. I was a big Catillac Cats fan- that was a popular 80s cartoon that was later shown on cable in the 90s. 80s- Snorks, Catillac Cats, Woody Woodpecker, Super Mario Bros. Super Show, Captain N, Looney Tunes. 80s - C.O.P.S., Braveheart. 80s - Galaxy High. 80s- Saturday Supercade. The 80s Jetsons.
Answer: Honestly I would say the 80s and 90s

Producing a Christian Anime, Where could I find people to help sponsor the animation?
Its purpose is to spread the gospel. The total cost of this anime is $ 360. Which is a very small amount in terms of cost to have a complex nicely done animation which purpose will be to tell others about Jesus and how they too can come to believe Jesus and know what they must do to be saved.
Answer: American do produce anime. Anyone heard of Full Metal Alchemist? Many of the scenes were done by Americans. To answer the first question, a Christian with $360 that believes in your idea and talent, a Church go to the youth minister, etc. Ask a missionary how they raise funds. There already is a lot Christian anime . Look on Youtube. You will have to have an excellent program with at least 150 frames per second to have a decent anime. Good luck
